Three conservatives, including Red State founder Eric Erickson, are planning a meeting in Washington, D.C., on Thursday to plot a third-party presidential effort if Donald Trump becomes the Republican nominee. The other two members of the group are Bill Wichterman, President George W. Bush’s liaison to the conservative movement, and Bob Fischer, a South Dakota businessman.
“Please join other conservative leaders to strategize how to defeat Donald Trump for the Republican nomination, and if he is the Republican nominee for president, to offer a true conservative candidate in the general election,” the men wrote to conservatives leaders in an invitation to the event. The other two members of the group are Bill Wichterman, President George W.
