Lt. Colonel Sherwood Baker a 24 year veteran recently escorted his daughter to Rochester Adams High School in Michigan. When trying to take his daughter into school he was stopped by the schools contracted security guard (rent a cop I assume) and told someone may find his uniform offensive so he would not be allowed to enter the school. He was told he could go home and change if he wanted to enter.
Lt. Col. Baker’s wife Rachel Ferhadson told WJBK, ” before he was allowed in, the security guard stopped him and said sorry you’re not allowed in the school. Security told him men and women in uniform weren’t allowed because it may offend another student.”
The school superintendent Robert Shaner as issued an apology.
I guess he is good enough to wear the uniform to fight for the security guards freedom but not good enough to wear his uniform into the school.
