The recent increase in security at Ft. Bliss near the Mexican border city Ciudad Juarez where Islamic terrorists have been confirmed to be operating and planning an attack on the United States indicates that the facility is a target, according to senior military experts.
Last week Judicial Watch reported that the Islamic terrorist group ISIS is working in Ciudad Juarez and planning to attack the United States with car bombs and other vehicle borne improvised explosive devices. High-level federal law enforcement, intelligence and other sources confirmed to ElectLeaders.com that a warning bulletin for an imminent terrorist attack on the border has been issued. Agents across a number of Homeland Security, Border Patrol, Justice and Defense agencies have been placed on high alert and instructed to aggressively work all possible leads.
Senior military officials revealed this week that military installations in the U.S. will only make changes to security measures when”clear and present threats are known”. “It’s a significant issue when this is done,” says retired Army Lt. Gen. Jerry Boykin, the former commander of the elite Delta Force and was also Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence for almost four years. “That means they’re getting a threat stream. Ft. Bliss had to have a clear and present threat.”
In 2010 a federal agent revealed that the federal government was covering up the number of middle eastern terrorists that were entering through Mexico. Suspected terrorists have been apprehended from Yemen, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran among others but were only classified as OTM (Other Than Mexican). They have confirmed ISIS is working with the drug cartels in Mexico.
Fox News reported Friday on a “situational awareness” bulletin sent out by the Texas Department of Public Safety and obtained by the news network. According to Fox, the bulletin read, “A review of ISIS social media messaging during the week ending August 26 shows that militants are expressing an increased interest in the notion that they could clandestinely infiltrate the southwest border of U.S., for terror attack.”
Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel stated ISIS an “imminent threat to every interest we have” and said, “This is beyond anything we’ve seen. We must prepare for everything.” Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Martin Dempsey stated Because of open borders and immigration issues, it’s an immediate threat, that is to say, the fighters who may leave the current fight and migrate home. Longer-term, it is about ISIS’ vision.” Gov Rick Perry stated “There’s the obvious great concern that because of the condition of the border, from the standpoint of it not being secure and us not knowing who is penetrating across, that individuals from ISIS or other terrorist states could be.” Perry continued, “I think it’s a very real possibility that they may have already used that.”
Of course according to the Obama administration the border is secure as testified to in congress by Obama’s first Homeland Security Secretary, Janet Napolitano.
