A recent update to the Send Clinton Cigars website, http://sendclintoncigars.com, indicates that the intended beneficiary of their fundraising initiative, Wounded Warrior Project, has respectfully declined to accept funds from the comedic politically charged group whose website went viral over the weekend. As such Send Clinton Cigars has stated it is actively seeking new charities that benefit veterans and/or active duty personnel and has even asked to hear the thoughts of their supporters.
Send Clinton Cigars made a small media response to select outlets this morning,
The initial outpouring of support was overwhelming and not anticipated. This caused us to make some technical changes over the first weekend to accommodate for the high traffic volumes and to incorporate some suggestions we received from user feedback. Over the next several days we will be adding new features to the SendClintonCigars.com website including a page showing our progress towards our goal, pages for additional media collected during our campaign’s lifespan, and a page for allowing supporters to find ways they can get more involved.
It would seem they don’t intend on going anywhere anytime soon.
